Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction provide essential services and supports to Albertans and government operations. The Citizens Services Division is at the forefront of delivering effective and innovative solutions to meet the needs of Albertans.
The Policy and Registry Services Branch supports vital registry services and strategic policies in the division, is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Branch Coordinator to join the Executive Director’s Office. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the branch through financial management, administrative support, action request coordination, and executive assistance.

Role Responsibilities
The Branch Coordinator provides comprehensive coordination and support for budget management, purchasing, service requests, information management, and action request workflows across the branch. The role also includes direct executive support to the Executive Director, including calendar management, issue prioritization, and leadership team collaboration. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional, proactive problem-solver, skilled communicator, and strong relationship builder.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Prepare, consolidate, and administer branch budget plans in collaboration with Directors and the Executive Director.
- Monitor, reconcile, and analyze budget expenditures and cash flows; identify variances and provide financial reports and forecasts.
- Serve as the branch’s contract coordinator, ensuring timely invoice processing and resolving contract-related issues.
- Oversee supply ordering and expenditures to support office and equipment needs
- Compile, summarize, and prepare background materials to support branch operations and responses to Assistant Deputy Minister’s Office (ADMO) inquiries.
- Coordinate action requests (ARs) across branch units, ensuring responses meet departmental standards and timelines.
- Apply and improve information management practices for filing and electronic records.
- Act as Workplace Administrator for the branch in 1GX, managing position management, job requisitions, and scheduling adjustments.
- Serve as the main contact for Bernie requests related to staff equipment, cell phones, and file/folder access.
- Coordinate facilities and parking requirements for the branch.
- Provide scheduling and calendar management support, including resolving scheduling conflicts and booking meetings.
- Prioritize issues for the Executive Director’s attention.

Qualifications
High school diploma and three years of related experience.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education
The following will be considered as asset:
- Experience in executive support, including calendar issues management.
- Familiarity with information and document management tools and information flow (e.g Sharepoint, ARTS).
- Experience with enterprise human capital management and/or finanacial systems (e.g. 1GX) and information management tools.
- Experience in financial administration, contract management, and administrative coordination.
